The total number of participants of this event was 36 with a variety of backgrounds, such as included experts, policy makers, representatives from the industry and the scientific sector, biomass producers

Topics and outcomes

In the framework of the training seminar,  a practical guide presented which addressed for local authorities and demonstrates how to set up a sustainable supply chain for heating fuel.

CRES with Mrs. Ioanna Papamichael presented the reasons for the creation of supply chains for waste and their management, Mr. Loukas Gabriel presented the case studies analysed within the project and Mr. Christoforos GIS programme.

Mr. Giannis Ananiadis, producer and supplier of biomass, analysed the supply of biomass by producers. CERTH participated in the seminar with Ms. Juliana Kraia who presented the biomass platform created for the project, HELLABIOM participated with Mr. Damatis who presented biomass supply chains. ESEK Karditsas participated with Mr. Vassilis Filippou and presented a good example of a supply chain in his area. Finally, Camino design participated with Mr. Alexandros Samukatsidis who presented the biomass utilization technologies for industrial use.
